Buildings by Betty

Pictures of the buildings I have been working on for the railroads.
The large buildings are for the outside garden railroad and the smaller ones are for the layout in the house. We have a long way to go for the inside layout. Most of the work now will wait for the fall.

Dr John and I worked on making a street for the garden railroad. These buildings came in kit form and were not difficult. The mine not shone was in kit form but the pieces did not go together easily so I am still working on it. I found that I had the crane on backwards so took it apart and glued it on correctly.

What a beautiful job you have done!!! You are very good...i have seen your web page and all the different things you and your hubby have built but i am now wondering, is this like a tourist attraction type of site? like the ones you paid to go in and take a look around? In a trip to British Colombia last summer we went to something like this, many displays of towns, from where they were from. I have asked the boyfriend to dig up the pics and find the name of this place. I think you might like to see....It was so lovely really, i often wondered how patient and talented 'they' must have had to do such display and here not a year later i come across you and your hubby. Now i know, how much love and patience and talent goes into all this work...i'm grateful for your sharing the pics...

I tried to leave a comment yesterday but it wasn't working for me so i will tell you now that my middle daughter, Cel (nickname) is just like what you described. She is calm and sweet and perfectly composed and then something makes her laugh and she just can't stop...It happened last night, she was on stage for the 'Spring Performance' from school. Huge audience, tons of lines (which she knew hers and all others, amazing memory that girl has) and she was just on doing her 'acting' perfectly and then her partner made a face and here they both are like crazy trying to stop giggling and say their lines....oh, it was sooo funny and they were so red and that made it just so much worse....but it's okay, just the way things happen. So don't feel bad or embarrased, this is the sort of stuff that makes us silly and cute at any age and time. Enjoy your day.

Great work! That is really neat. My hubby has always wanted one of those. But he would buy it not build it. He isn't good at that kind of thing.
