Happy New Year

I am going to say Happy New Year now because I am not sure when I will be back. Our computers are in the bedroom and I would blog after Dr John went to bed. He retires early.

It has been awhile since we have stayed up to midnight on New Year's eve. In the year 2000, we babysat for my son. The children were all young and I got them all in bed and asleep. What we didn't know was the city celebrated with fireworks. At midnight out came the booms and bangs. Everyone up, some crying out of fear, so we saw the New Year and century in. I think that was the last time we were up at midnight. We do a little cheeting by watching those who celebrate earlier.

Whatever you do, have a great time and be safe. They can go together.

Ah,yes Happy New Year! I don't think we will be up late. I am hoping it will be quieter here than it was at the old house. It was so noisy there the dogs were scared! Since we are closer to one of the main streets maybe there won't be so many fireworks going off. I know that is wishful thinking...

Betty, I have always made a practice of staying in on New Tear's Eve -- much safer. And since I'm in, I'm usually in bed at the same old early hour.

Oh! And of course, Happy New Year to you -- though I'll be back to say it right and proper on the right and proper day!

Happy New Year Betty.....we also don't always hear the new year come in, sometimes, yes, but not always. Haven't really partied in years, but we do occasionally tip back a glass of Boilo to the New Year. Will have to wait and see if we stay up. Our neighborhood has a tendancy to bring out the guns. When they do that, and start shooting I always hope that they haven't had too much to drink and can't tell which way they are aiming. haha
