Does anyone cook or bake?
I am going to go through my pots and pans to pack leaving just those I need. A cake pan, a sauce pan and a cookie pan. I put out some bread pans at the rummage sale and there were many comments I don't bake. even when I had a special cake pan of Winnie the Poo. I also don't use the bread pans because I have a bread maker. I am not packing that yet. Dr John commented we wouldn't have to buy a stove right off because we can use the Microwave. Most of my baking was for the church and for my open house. I do hope we get moved before Thanksgiving .
Update on my sister. She said she is doing fine but tired at times. She said she is now going home sooner than expected.
Lois on the web has a new post. That is Upper Peninsula and beyond. link on side.

good morning Betty. heard you were having some interesting dreams last night..Quilldancer, monkeys? hope you got some rest with all that excitement.
i found Pat's blog. he is a fine human being and a fine daddy. how wonderful to see that the Linna's will be a great way to change the world. you have done such a great job in raising your kids.
i use to bake before my accident. i use to always make the kids just because cakes and all sorts of treats..but since then, i don't think i have gone near any of it..don't want to, care to, feel like it or can really...but my kids have taken over..they love making brownines or non bday cakes and angel cakes and stuff...they all love to cook and bake..i'm so lucky!
glad that your sis is feeling well. i must have missed the news that she wasn't at home. i truly hope she hasn't been in the hospital.
will have to check Lois blog. will go to Dr. Johns and see if i can find the link. i stil cannot see your side bar at all, even when i refresh the page..weird aint it.
i hope you get some extra rest in your days. i hope you get moved soon too. i want all this to be over for you all too. to have Thanksgiving in your new home with Pennie would be so wonderful. Let's hope for it.
Many hugs to you Betty. You are holding up the fort. Great job sweet friend. Take care and read you soon.
hi, it's me again. here to borrow some sugar please..lol..
i went to Lois site. she has a couple i think..the picture are just wonderful and loved that her mom was with a sweater with it so hot still..but with a drop of more than 20 degrees, i can see how she might need it.
i'm sorry i couldn't leave a comment.i have no idea where or how, i tried.
again, have a wonderful day.
Betty, I think my years of cooking and baking are behind me. The stove is currently stacked with the bbq stuff cleaned, but yet to be put away from a party 3 weeks ago (I need it next weekend so why go to all the trouble of wrapping it and putting it in the back of the cupboard?)
All summer I have not used the stove. I use the microwave and, occassionally, my toaster oven. I used to make homemade bread, cakes, cookies, pies -- cream pies from scratch were my speciality -- and cook big scrumptious dinners. Now I live clear across the country from my family and except for special occassions cook only for me -- and me is more into "quick and easy" than "takes forever and makes a mess."
Betty, I truly want to thank you for all the clicks on my behalf. I am sorry they are causing you nightmares (I read your blog before I read Dr. John's, so I didn't catch the reference earlier). In light of your distress this seems rather callous, but I know you will take it in the light in which it is intended and forgive me for this shameless bit of promotion since I am trying to win a contest here -- two in fact! One for the best picture caption; one for the most shameless self-promotion (I am also hoping it is the most effective self promotion.)
Go to Belle of the Brawl and vote for Quilldancer! Don't even look at the other captions. Just trust me when I tell you mine is the best! But please, do say hello to Belle Sar while you're there - -and be sure to tell her Quilly sent you.
Thanks!
I cook and bake. I make the best brownies and they are soooo easy! And I am getting addicted to Pampered Chef. It is expenisve but great!
Have a great weekend!:)
I could use those pots and pans if your getting rid of them. Alex loves to cook and I am short on cake pans and such.
Thanks
Patrick

I bake and those baking pans are not cheap so I am surprised people did not want them.
Thanks for all your hard work voting for me, I think you should win!

Good 2 hear u'r sister will be going home soon!

Betty so glad your sister is doing better! I cook and bake but would much rather cook than bake.
i thank you for the bottom of my heart for your beautiful prayer. this lady is a stranger for me too, but i got word that she was in real trouble and needed extra help. i'm truly humbled and happy to know that i have so much support and love from all of you. your prayer was deeply felt, i know, for i felt it down to my toes. thank you Betty. you have an amazing heart and i feel so lucky to be in your life. God Bless you and your family always. hugs and love always.
me want something new 2 read!
Let's go girl----
*wink*
Just funnin!
:)
What a collection of pans! I'm tempted to learn bakery...
Pretty much all I bake now is pizza, frozen or take'n'bake. Occasionally a one crust pie or quiche. Those ready to roll pie crusts are great.
Hi Betty, Mom baked everything when I was a kid, and if she didn't, grandma did. We didn't even buy bread, we baked it. So to have something store bought was special. Now that I am grown, I buy more store bought stuff than I bake, but I still do lots of baking. We love sweets........if you ask my son what he loves best in the world, he says PIE. I bake lots of pie.......
